The Ripple Effect – You Never Know Who You May Impact

By Susan Williams

Everyday we connect with people in our lives. Sometimes we may talk to them, sometimes we may not. We may be kind to some people and possibly not so kind to others.

The one thing that all of these interactions have in common is that we may not even realize how these contacts may impact someone.

Mother Teresa once said;

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”

Here’s a wonderful inspirational story that demonstrates the power of this idea. It shares how one person’s small action completely changed another person’s future life. This seemingly innocent act not only impacted one individual but also all the other lives that he then went on to also influence.

This story demonstrates how even the smallest of things can cause a very large ripple. So, as Clint eloquently worded what he discovered – “… there is a difference in being the best in the world and being the best for the world“.

So go on – make some positive ripples. You never know where they may spread to.
