Could This Be The Secret To Aging With Vitality?

There is a place in Japan called Okinawa.

What makes this place unique is that it has the highest percentage of cenetarians in the world. But what also makes this place special is that their cenetarians are active and contributing members of their community. 

So how do they do it? What makes aging in this village so different then the rest of the world?

Here are a few things that make a difference;

  • There is a real focus on eating natural, healthy foods. There are no processed foods – their diet consists mainly of food they grow and harvest themselves from the fields and the sea
  • The elderly are very active. Many work in the fields and are active in the community
  • The elderly are viewed as significant contributors to their families and community
  • There is a strong belief that everyone takes care of each other – no matter what age they are. Traditions and family are extremely important and respected as part of their culture
